Description: A fading yellow was the first she saw... The blurring before her half closed eyes decreased...Grass... Why...? Where was she...? Out of the darkness of her unconsciousness Judy had made it back to the world and like a ton of bricks she remembered it... her body dangling in the fangs of a Leopard, carried through the grass of the savannah... She didn't feel her body anymore, her neck vertebraes were crushed and all of her body below her neck was paralized. It was hard to breathe for her, but there was no pain... Her head dangled to and fro too, it was hard to see for her what was going on... Sometimes she saw how her legs were trailed through the dry grass, the spotted fur of the gorgeous hunter who got her, its rolling muscles and elegant walk, its long, gracefully whipping tail... She knew that her end was not a shame. Better going this natural way as to slowly rotting away in wet, heavy soil in a coffin 6 feet under. In her nebulized thoughts she felt even some kind of pride about ending up as prey for such a majestic apex predator. The only thing she regret was that she will not be able to publish this awesome experience in a reputable science-magazine anymore. How often may this happen to a big cats victim? Was it only the circumstance, that the predator carried her away by holding her on her shoulder instead of her throat that she was still half alive and made it back to consciousness? Judys scientific mind started to make still its theories... Her neck was way shorter than the neck of an Impala and maybe carrying her away by holding her on the shoulder instead of her throat was easier for the sucessful hunter? From time to time the leopard laid down its catch for a lookout and a short rest, licking sweat and blood from her body... and licking Judys face with its rough, wet tongue and she was able to take a look into the yellow eyes of this awesome creature, feeling long whiskers fondling her face and listen to its deep, powerful contented purring... Then she was lifted up again. She heared the faint crack of her breaking collarbone as the cat contorted her right shoulder. Her body was covered with dust, dirt and bloody wounds of claws, she realized that she has lost her right shoe somewhere in the turmoil as the leopard has subdued her.... new, expensive Pradas... Not important anymore... It became harder and harder for her to remain conscious. She had lost a lot of blood due the deep wounds in her throat, and every minute more the red juice of life drained out of her body. The undulating trot of the muscular predator and the evenly scratching sound of her dragged body on the ground acts like a deadly lullaby too. She was on the way to slip finally away into the warm darkness as a rattling noise brought her back once more. In the corner of her eyes throug the rising fog of unconsciousness she saw... bones... Bones, rips, vertebraes and complete ripcages... and skulls... human skulls! Little remains of torn clothing, most of the rags were already blown away by the wind, and shoes, a lot of shoes. A large, dead tree with thick branches over her... the eating-place of the Leopard... The leopard laid her down for a short rest, and finally the cat seized her left shoulder for dragging her up into the tree and Judys mind slipped finally away for ever...
